After spending years as a kid vacationing on the South Carolina Coast, Pete Green realized it was where he should reside! At age 17, Pete left his home in Maryland and attended Coastal Carolina University. At Coastal Carolina, Pete met his wife and then went on to attend graduate school at the University of South Carolina. After graduate school, Pete moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where he and his wife invested and grew several franchises and acquired both commercial and residential properties. The Greens, however, dreamed of one day returning to the Coast, so their dreams led them to purchasing second homes and rental properties in Cherry Grove and eventually DeBordieu, South Carolina. The Green’s have two young daughters and for years while living in Charlotte they would wait for school to let out on Friday and race to the Coast.
In 2020, COVID-19 led to the Greens’ decision to pack up their belongings and move to their second home in DeBordieu. After living in the community for several months, the Greens realized that DeBordieu was not just a magical vacation destination.
It is a place they could raise their daughters, letting them be kids while exploring and appreciating nature’s beauty. The Greens have since invested in a couple of commercial properties on Front St. and opened Monkee’s of Georgetown. Pete is very active in the community; he serves on several boards and committees including Coastal Carolina Alumni’s Board of Directors and Georgetown Business Association’s Board of Directors. Pete’s passion is helping people discover residential properties that make them happy and commercial properties where people can grow their businesses!
